Washington County 24-Hour Release Source
Washington County does not offer a dedicated release-only 24-hour list. The official substitute is the Sheriff’s set of seven rotating weekday booking PDFs. Each report covers a fixed booking period from 7:00 a.m. through 7:00 a.m. It mixes Washington County released inmates with people who were booked and remain held. A populated “Release Date Time” supports a completed physical departure for that booking. A blank release field does not.
The separate active-inmate roster serves another purpose. It shows people held when the roster is generated, along with a forward-looking “Release Est.” field. Once a person drops from active status, the roster no longer explains what happened. The daily report may preserve the actual time, while Sheriff arrest and release data gives the legal basis and any receiving agency.

Because each interval runs morning to morning, the calendar date alone may point to two reports. Match the individual with the booking number, name, age, and arrest or booking details before relying on the release field.

- Find the booking by number and identity details rather than by name alone.
- Read “Release Date Time.” A populated value is the report’s strongest completed-release marker.
- Check the active roster only to see if the person is presently listed and to compare the booking identity.
- Match the Washington County court case for the bond order, dismissal, sentence, probation, or other legal event.

Washington County 24-Hour Release Fields
The daily report is detailed, but it does not provide a photo or a normalized release-reason field. It can show arrest, hold, charge, and booking facts alongside the actual release time. Those fields allow a careful same-day check, yet the legal authority still comes from the Sheriff’s release data or the matching case.

Washington County Report Rotation
Seven weekday-named files are linked, but Washington County does not promise a seven-day archive. Each filename is reused by weekday. A report needed for an older event may already have rotated away, and a midnight-to-midnight search does not match the fixed morning boundary. The wider 72-Hour Releases method reviews enough weekday files to cover a three-day span without calling the result an official 72-hour feed.
Both online products have limits. The active roster prints its own generation timestamp and contains “Release Est.” rather than actual release time. The daily report shows actual release time when populated but includes still-held bookings. Neither source carries a Washington County booking photo. No verified official Sheriff jail-information mobile app was found for Washington County, Minnesota, so an app from another state should not be used.

Washington County Release Versus Custody
A person on the active roster is shown as held when that roster was generated. A person with a populated “Release Date Time” in the matching booking report has an online marker of departure from that booking. Yet departure may mean community release or transfer. If a person moved to MNDOC, another county, federal custody, or immigration custody, the person left the Washington County Jail but did not become free of custody.

When Washington County Releases Inmates
Washington County says sentenced inmates are generally released after 8:30 a.m. through the jail lobby. That is a usual practice, not a universal release hour. Bond verification, court orders, holds, identification, property, and transport can move the actual time. The report’s 7:00 a.m. boundary also means a morning release can fall in a different weekday file than a reader expects.
A free local or collect-call telephone is available in the lobby. Washington County also requires a sober responsible adult to appear with valid driver identification before releasing a person who is intoxicated, affected by drugs, or vulnerable due to a mental-health condition. That safeguard can delay departure after another release condition has been met.
Personal property has its own process. Keys or money may be authorized individually in writing. Clothes, cards, jewelry, shoes, and coats must be released together, with a written pickup request made 24 hours ahead. An EBT card goes only to the registered cardholder.
Washington County Bond Release Timing
The jail-lobby kiosk operates 24 hours. Washington County says it accepts up to $1,000 cash in bills of $20 or more, or a card with a listed $8.95 fee. After payment, Master Control receives notice and a sergeant verifies the transaction. Release processing then begins and can take up to a couple of hours. Exact cash, cashier’s checks, and approved bond agents are other described routes.
The jail accepts bail on Minnesota out-of-county warrants but not out-of-state warrant bail. A bond release means the person leaves while the case continues. It is not a dismissal, acquittal, sentence completion, or final discharge. The daily report can show when departure occurred, while MCRO and the Sheriff record explain the bond and any unresolved hold.
Getting Home After Washington County Release
Washington County says cab companies may pick up or drop off at the jail lobby. The jail does not promise social-services money or bus tokens, though a community-resource packet is available on request. Limited transit in Stillwater and winter travel were cited when the county sought a release-transport option.
In 2024, Washington County approved an on-demand transportation contract worth up to $100,000 for trips within 25 miles of the jail. The described service connected the county, parts of the eastern metro and western Wisconsin, and transit points. Current 2026 continuation was not verified, so that prior approval should not be treated as a present ride guarantee.
